MayDell Nix, age 87 of Stamps, Arkansas, passed away Sunday, February 7, 2016 at her home surrounded by her family. Mrs. Nix was born August 12, 1928 to B.H. and Leetrus Coleman. She was retired from the Alan White Co. and was the owner of The Country Hot House and The Flower Shed. Her pride and joy were her grandchildren.
Mrs. Nix was preceded in death by her husband, Aubrey Nix; brothers, Thomas Coleman, Bill Coleman, James Coleman and Carlton Coleman; and one sister, Mayme Millican.
She is survived by her three daughters and sons-in-law, Bobbie and Warren Levan, Mayme and Greg Eddy and Billie Jo and John Pierson all of Stamps; three grandchildren, Michelle Eddy, Patrick Pierson and Logan Pierson of Stamps; and two sisters-in-law, Betty Nix of Texarkana, AR and Betty Coleman of Hempstead, TX.
Graveside Services will be held at 10a.m. on Saturday, February 13, 2016 at Oak Grove Cemetery in Stamps, AR with Bro. Roy Johnson officiating under the direction of Smith Funeral Homes of Stamps, AR. Visitation will be held from 6-8p.m. on Friday, February 12, 2013 at the Smith Funeral Home in Stamps, AR.
