Melinda Ly Gere Anderson, age 68 of Bossier City, Louisiana, passed away Tuesday, February 2, 2016. Mrs. Anderson was born August 20, 1947 in San Diego, California to Duane and Ona Mae Gere. She married Quinton J. Anderson on March 26, 2005.
Mrs. Anderson was preceded in death by her parents; and half-sister, Pam Toon.
She is survived by her husband; three step-daughters, Neca Anderson Stockwell and husband, Wesley of Magnolia, AR; Stephanie Anderson Carter and husband, Stan of Van, TX; and Lucretia Anderson of Waco, TX; grandchildren, Nina Anderson of Stamps, AR; Jennifer Stockwell of Conway, AR; Stephanie Stockwell of Magnolia, AR; Hallee Carter of Van, TX; and Jared Carter of Van, TX; great grandchildren, Jordan Brooks and Jase Anderson of Stamps, AR, and Calleigh Stockwell of Magnolia, AR; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Graveside Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, February 6, 2016 at Shiloh Cemetery in Buckner, AR with Bro. Edwin Phillips officiating, under the direction of Smith Funeral Homes of Stamps, AR. Pallbearers will be Wesley Stockwell, Stan Carter, Jared Carter, Larry Marlar, Allen Cheatham, and Chuck Teague. Honorary Pallbearer will be Wendall Hart. Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Friday, February 5, 2016 at Rose Neath Funeral Home in Bossier City, LA.
