Mr. Michael Douglas "Duckie" Prevoe, Sr., 58, of Baton Rouge, LA, formerly of Stamps, AR., passed away April 25th at Lady of the Lake Hospital in Baton Rough, LA.

He was born January 20, 1957 in Stamps, AR. To Jewel George and Ruby Jewel Wise Prevoe.

He attended Stamps High School, joined the United States Marines Corp in 1975, and was employed with Isomag in Baton Rough, LA. as a machinist.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Ruby J. Prevoe, a daughter LaKeisha Michelle Prevoe and son Jimmy Martin.

Survivors include; his wife Janet Prevoe of the home, four daughters; Tameika Sanders (Gary) of Ashdown, AR., Mekia Prevoe (Alonzo) of Lewisville, AR., Mekisha Henry (Casey) of Hope, AR., and Michelle Butler of Baton Rough, LA. One son; Michael D. Prevoe, Jr. Baltimore, MD. Four step-children; James and Milton Butler, Dominique and Ennis Pate all of Baton Rough, LA. His father; Jewel George Prevoe of Texarkana, AR. Two sisters; Marilyn Johnson of Baton Rough, LA. And Rev. Deborah Gilmore of Sulphur Springs, TX. Seven brothers; Rev. Hal W. Prevoe (Carolyn) of Waldo, AR., Curtis Gilbert (Gloria) of New Boston, TX., Ben A. Gilbert of Leland, NC., Ray C. Gilbert, Sr. (Sheila) of Longwood, NC., Greg Gilbert (Veronica) of Magnolia, AR., Kevin F. Wise (Sandra), and Angelo Prevoe both of Toledo, OH. (12) grandchildren, (6) step-grandchildren, and a host of aunts, uncles, other relatives.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 2nd , at 11:a.m. at Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Stamps, AR. With burial to follow in Lakeside Cemetery in Stamps, AR., with Military Honors. Under the direction of Smith Funeral Home, Inc. of Stamps. Officiating will be his brother, Rev Hal Prevoe.

Visitation; Friday 11:a.m. till 5:p.m. at the funeral home.
