Michael Wayne Smith, age 47 of Buckner, Arkansas, passed away Tuesday, September 20, 2016. Mike was born May 29, 1969 in Huntington Park, California to Danny and Janice Smith. He was a devoted husband, father, son, brother, and Christian. He was a member of Liberty Baptist Church in Stamps, AR where he served as a youth leader. He was the co-owner of Smith Lawn Care in Magnolia, Arkansas. Mike was very active in the Magnolia Athletic Programs and in the Stamps Fire Department.

Mike was preceded in death by his son, Justin Smith; brother, Danny Ray Smith, Jr; grandparents, Arvie and Sue Sheffield, Donald and Maggie Smith; and mother-in-law, Barbara Allen.

He is survived by his parents; wife, Glenda Smith of Buckner, AR; three daughters, Morgan, Lauren, and Kristin Smith all of Buckner, AR; son, Camden Smith of Buckner, AR; brother, Donald Smith and wife, Tammi of Waldo, AR; father-in-law, James Mac Allen of Stamps, AR; sixteen nieces and nephews; and many other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers will be Larry Jones, Billy Frost, Jerry Cheatham, Jason McCoy, Leon Whaley, Heath Stephens, Kade Strickland, and Justin Shackelford.

Funeral Services will be held at 4:00 p.m. Saturday, September 24, 2016 at the Lafayette County High School Gymnasium in Stamps, AR with Bro. Todd Reed and Bro. Adam Rogers officiating. Interment will follow at Liberty Cemetery in Stamps under the direction of Smith Funeral Homes of Stamps, AR. Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Friday, September 23, 2016 at the Smith Funeral Home in Stamps. Online registration is available at www.aosmithfuneralhome.com.
