Mitzi Yvonne Dodson, 82, of Taylor, Arkansas passed away on May 11, 2022. She was born on July 8, 1939 to William and Mural (Hughes) Kirkpatrick. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Taylor. Mrs. Dodson loved to travel and read, but most importantly she loved to spend time with her family and grandkids. She was a big Golden State Warriors fan.

Mrs. Dodson was preceded in death by her husband, Loel Dodson; parents; and brother, W.A. Dub Kirkpatrick.

She is survived by son, Rusty Dodson of Marshall, TX; four daughters, Lisa Bland and husband, Jim of Taylor, AR, Tami Blake and husband, Ronnie of Sarepta, LA, Angie Duncan and husband, Matt of Prairie Grove, AR and Babs Queen of Bossier City, LA; sister, Ann Birmingham and husband, Bob of Mooresville, MS; 12 grandchildren, Sara Landaverde(Richard), Jeremy Bland(Brandi), Richard Blake(Ashley), Rachel Blake, Raelyn Moore(Dustin), Micah Duncan, Macey Duncan, Callie Duncan, Caleb Duncan, Josh Queen(Krista), Katie Pernell(Allen), and Casey Dodson(Emily); 10 great grandchildren; and special friend and companion, Rodney Wathall.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 13, 2022 at 10:00 A.M. at First Baptist Church in Taylor, AR with Bro. Todd Pickard officiating. Interment will follow at Bussey Cemetery under the direction of A.O. Smith Funeral Home. Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 12, 2022 at First Baptist Church in Taylor from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M.
