Nina Kathryn Campbell, 68 of Texarkana, Arkansas passed away February 12, 2021. Nina (Kathy) was a member of Beech Street Baptist Church in Texarkana, Arkansas.

When she was born, she was labeled as a person with special needs, because she had a few extra chromosomes or something. When in truth, her needs paled in comparison to what she had to give, such as love, gratitude, no prejudice and grace. Her life may have been lived in the "slow" lane, but she could teach you to see things that are around you and be grateful for what you could see. She loved, she lived and she touched so many lives as she moved along through life. She was full of strength and humility beyond understanding. She made the smallest gifts that you gave her seem as though it were a million dollars. She didn't have special needs, she was special.

She was a teacher who taught us; without gratitude, there is no joy. Without humbleness, there is no contentment. Without patience, there is no journey. Without a hug, there is no reassurance. Without laughter, there is no dancing. Without excitement, there is no Elvis, Chuck Norris or the Razorbacks. Without each other's love, there is nothing.

We are grateful that we go to be part of that. She is now in the arms of Jesus and re-united with her beloved mother.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Velora Campbell

She was loved and cherished by the family she left behind. Her Uncle Denton and Aunt Mary May. Cousins, Denise Nicklas and husband Bill, Cheryl Colbey and husband Ritchie, Sharon Stevens and husband Donz. She is also survived by her Aunt Nadine Easterling and numerous cousins and family members.

The family would like to recognize and express our love and gratitude to her friend and caregiver, Pat Thompson and all those who loved and cared for her at the nursing home.

Graveside services will be held 10A.M. Saturday, February 27, 2021 at Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Texarkana, AR. with Bro. Craig Jenkins officiating under direction of A.O. Smith Funeral Home.
