Noahetta "Queen" Meeler, age 74 of Springhill, Louisiana, passed away Friday, July 7, 2017. Noahetta was born February 24, 1943 in Magnolia, Arkansas. She was a longtime member of North Arkansas Street Church of Christ in Springhill, Louisiana. She enjoyed many things in her life, most of all her family and her church. Noahetta enjoyed challenges of jigsaw puzzles, card games, and dominoes. Camping and water skiing with family and friends was where she earned the title of Queen. Noahetta was truly the "Queen" of hearts for all who loved her. Her dog, Maddie, became her best friend and faithfully saw her through her later years.
Noahetta was preceded in death by her father, Noah Meeler, a decorated soldier; by her stepfather, J.B. Edens; and by her mother, Margaret Houck Edens.
She is survived by two brothers, Danny Edens and wife, Margaret and Johnny Edens and wife, Linda all of Springhill, LA; nieces and nephews, Garrett Edens and wife, Nikki of Monroe, LA; Brandon Edens and wife, Martha of Springhill, LA; Melissa Edens Lindsey and husband, Terry of Taylor, AR; and Ashley Edens of Sarepta, LA; great nieces and nephews, Hayden, Tyler, Lillian, Peyton, Josh, Lucas, Madison, Mason, Jefferson, Anderson, and Claire; and a host of cousins and extended family.
Funeral Services will be held at 2pm Tuesday, July 11, 2017 at North Arkansas Street Church of Christ in Springhill, LA with Mr. Huey Mayfield officiating. Interment will follow at Springhill Cemetery under the direction of Smith Funeral Homes of Stamps, AR. Pallbearers are as followed: Terry Lindsey, Garrett Edens, Brandon Edens, Jimmy Houck, Hayden Lindsey, Ty Lindsey, Peyton Haehn, and Lucas Edens.
