Ora Elizabeth Plumley, age 85 of Stamps, Arkansas, passed away Wednesday, April 20, 2016. Mrs. Plumley was born June 21, 1930 in Stamps to James and Olive Phillips. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. She enjoyed being with her grandchildren. Her hobbies included gardening, sewing, and quilting.
Mrs. Plumley was preceded in death by her parents; husband, David Elvis "Buddy" Plumley; son, James "Preacher" Plumley; two brothers, Van L. "Pete" Phillips and James "Buddy" Phillips; and two sisters, Joann Martin and Jeanette Elam.
She is survived by son, Bill Plumley and wife, Shirley of Grand Prairie, TX; daughter-in-law, Penny Bullard of Holiday Island, AR; four daughters, Wanda Fontaine and husband, Tommy of Weatherford, TX; Doris Sharp and husband, Martel of Magnolia, AR; Charlene Hutchison and husband, Paul of Pittsburg, TX; and Brenda Gray of Ft. Smith, AR; two sisters, Nell Campbell and husband, Ray of Emmet, AR and Sue Bridges of Magnolia, AR; sisters and brothers-in-law, Doris Johnson, Marlene Goodner, Rebecca Sandifer, Doug Plumley, Mollie Phillips, and Jean Phillips; grandchildren, Gary Plumley, George Foster, Mark Hillard, James Michael Plumley, Matt Plumley, Chip Hutchison, Preston Hutchison, Stephen Hutchison, Tommy Tipton, Carrie Gourley, Tammi Bowden, Jennifer Rudder, Miranda Martin, Paula Smith, Tambra Tipton, and Morgan Sanders; twenty-nine great grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held at 10am Saturday, April 23, 2016 at the Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Stamps, AR with Bro. William Smith officiating. Interment will follow Falcon Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6-8pm Friday, April 22, 2016 at the Smith Funeral Home in Stamps. Family and friends are invited to an additional visitation after the service at the Stamps City Hall.
