Mr. Oscar "Skibo" Johnson, Jr. of Waldo, AR., passed away Monday, March 23rd,
AR Magnolia Regional Medical Center.

He was born October 27, 1941 in Stephens, AR. To Oscar and Caroline Leake
Johnson, Sr.

He united with Mt. Vernon A.M.E. Church in his youth, later joined New Bethel A.M.E. Church, and often visited with Cottonbelt C.O.G.I.C. in Waldo, AR. He graduated from Oak Grove high School and he attended Philander Smith College prior to entering the draft and joining the United States Army. He was honorably discharged from the Army in 1966 and became employed with Firestone Company in Magnolia, AR. for 38 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Vester Mae Todd, three brothers, Charlie, Walter, and James Johnson. Two loving wives, Earl bell "Joe Bull" Johnson and Celogia Mae Johnson.

He survived by; five children; Demetrius (Tyrone) Wells, Angelia Turner, Juan D. Turner, LaTesha Olafemiwa (Adekunle J. Olafemiwa of Lagos, Nigeria), and Shemika Johnson all of Waldo, AR. One sister; Gertrude (J.W.) Cooper of West Memphis, AR. (15) Grandchildren, (5) great-grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, and friends. Three sister-in-laws; Jannie (Andrew) Davis, Lesie Harrell, and Essie Bell Turner. Four brother-in-laws; Marzell (Sonya) Turner, Lorenzo Turner, Gary (Loretta) Turner, and Michael (Denise) Lambert all of Waldo, AR. Three very special friends who remained faithful to Oscar until his death; Ernest A. Hills, Marshall Ray Jenkins, and Bobby Joe Watson, and a very special niece whom he called daily, Patrice Evans.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 28th , at 1: p.m. at Cottonbelt Church of God in Christ in Waldo, AR. , with burial following in the Mt. Vernon Cemetery in Stephens, AR. Under the direction of Smith Funeral Home in Stamps. Officiating will be Supt. James Turner

Visitation Friday 12 Noon- 5:pm at the funeral home.
