Otha Fort, Jr. 87, was born on April 12, 1929 in Lewisville, Arkansas to Otha Fort, Sr. and Rosetta Featherston Fort. September 29, 2016, the Angel of death entered the Medical ICU Unit at Christus St. Michael Hospital and granted him his wings. Otha took flight to reside in his heavenly home that God had prepared for him.

Otha is preceded in death by his father, Otha Fort, Sr.; Rosetta Featherston Fort; wife, Lucille Powell fort; daughter, Barbara Denise Williams; grandson, Demarrio Markeys Anderson; granddaughter, Timya Stevenson and grandson Antonio Anderson.

Otha attended Lewisville Colored School. At an early age he united with the Cross Roads Baptist Church.

During his lifetime, he worked for Lewisville School District, Union Pacific Railroad, Gifford Hill, Partee Flooring Mill and he retired from J & P Petroleum. After retirement, he stayed busy by helping fix flats at C. W. Henry's Flat Shop.

Otha possessed a lovable character and quiet spirit. He was pleasant toward everyone. During his spare time , Otha liked fishing, gardening and visiting with his grandchildren and friends. He enjoyed watching his great-grands run and play. Oftentimes, he could be found at the local grocery store visiting wit friends.

Funeral services will be held 2pm on Saturday, October 8, 2016 at Lewisville Auditorium-712 Chestnut St. in Lewisville, AR with Rev. McArthur Turner officiating. Burial will follow in Old Town Cemetery
under the direction of Smith Funeral Home.

Visitation will be Friday, October 7, 2016 from 11-4pm at the Funeral Home.
