Paul L. Bailey, 77 of Willisville, Arkansas passed away Friday, May 5, 2017 after a brief battle with Lymphoma. He was born March 30, 1940 in Waldo, Arkansas to Paul and Leatha (East) Bailey Sr. He had great memories of growing up in Waterloo, Arkansas. He was retired poultry farmer and was named District Farm Family in 1983. He also worked as a chemical plant operator and contract oil field pumper.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Roger Bailey.
Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Peggy (Goodwin) Bailey. Daughters, Phoebe Bailey of Hope, Arkansas and Penny Huffman of Texarkana, Arkansas. Three grandchildren are left to carry on his legacy and they are Dylan Ashbrock, Jessica Huffman and Zachary Huffman. His sister Loretta Chisholm and her husband Bo are left to mourn his passing. A host of nieces and nephews and family as well as close friends will cherish his memory.
A visitation for Mr. Bailey will be held from 2:00p.m. until 4:00p.m. Sunday, May 7, 2017 at the A.O. Smith Funeral Home in Stamps. Funeral services will follow on Monday, May 8, 2017 at 2:00p.m. at the United Methodist Church of Willisville, Arkansas. Burial will be in the Willisville Cemetery with Bro. Bill Caldwell and Bro. Jerry Evans officiating. The family asks that donations be made in his honor to the following Cemeteries: Willisville Cemetery, Mrs. Montgomery, Post Office Box 14, Willisville, Arkansas 71858. Smith Funeral Home of Stamps, Arkansas.
