Obituary

Raymond Keith Lewis, 81, of Stamps, Arkansas, passed away peacefully in his home on June 13, 2025, surrounded by loved ones. He was born September 12, 1943, in Nevada County Arkansas, to Harold and Lydia Lewis.

He was a 1961 graduate of Stamps High School. He attended Ouachita Baptist College, Arkadelphia, Southern State College, Magnolia, and graduated from the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville with honors in 1973. He ranked in the top 3% of his class earning a degree in Engineering.

Raymond served honorably as a Sargeant in the U.S. Army. He enlisted in November 1967 and was stationed in Fort Polk, LA, before arriving in Vietnam in April 1968, where he served in the 577th Engineer Battalion near Tuy Hoa. Upon arriving home he was assigned to Fort Stewart, Georgia until late 1970.

Raymond was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Jo Catherine Rice (Jerry) of Texarkana, Arkansas. He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Lynda Osteen Lewis of Englewood, Florida, one sister, Elaine Miller (Trish) of Lebanon, Missouri, 4 children, Ryan Scot Lewis of Renton, Washington, Kelly Marie Clark (Charles) of Stamps, Arkansas, John Bradley Lewis of Hot Springs, Arkansas, and Rendy LeAnn Lewis of Lewisville, Arkansas, 7 grandsons, and several great grandchildren.

Raymond will be laid to rest next to his parents in a private graveside service.
