Raymond "Ray" John Uhl tragically left this Earth, and his loved ones, to be with our Lord on Sunday, January 24, 2016, in Taylor, Arkansas. Ray lived his later years in Taylor, Arkansas, was 69 years old, born June 13, 1946 in Rochester, New York. He served in the United States Navy and retired from the Kansas prison system. He was a member of Forest Grove Missionary Baptist Church and loved his dogs.
Mr. Uhl was preceded in death by his wife, Sandy Uhl; parents, Raymond James and Georgeanne Uhl; and two sisters, Bernice Welch and Edwyna Conklin.
He is survived by his daughter, Rhonda Burkhart and husband, Jerry; sister, Beverly Heveron; nieces, Kim Heveron Hurlburt and Giny, and Lynn Relyea and husband, Tim; step-children, Shannon Blankenship and husband, Tom and Arthur "Butch" Miller and wife, Jennifer; fiancé, Cheryl Bell; grandchildren; great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Ray was dearly loved by his family and friends and will be greatly missed.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, January 28, 2016 at Forest Grove Missionary Baptist Church with Bro. Joseph Stacks officiating under the direction of Smith Funeral Homes of Stamps, AR. Online registration is available at www.aosmithfuneralhome.com.
