Obituary

Richard Wayne Beasley, 75, of Waldo, Arkansas went home to his lord after a long battle with his illness at Wadley Medical Center in Texarkana on Sunday, January 19, 2014. He was born August 23, 1938 in Texarkana, Arkansas. He worked as an accountant in the oil industry for some forty years. He was in the military and served in Vietnam. He was also active in the American Legion and the NRA.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Josephine (Tate) & John Beasley of Texarkana.
He will be greatly missed by his wife Sue Beasley of the home. He is also leaves a special daughter, Gloria Samantha Beasley of Waldo, Arkansas and her daughters, Gloria Sanaiah Hunter and Kamaliah Poole of Waldo. Three sisters are left to mourn his passing and they are, Catherine Pinkerton, Sheila Eudy both of New Hope, Arkansas and Myrtle Glover of Lynden, Texas. A host of other relatives survive him and they are a nephew, Andy Reaves, brother-in-law Jack Reaves, both of Stephens, Arkansas, two sister-in-laws Ann Toland of Magnolia, Arkansas, and Jill Ferguson of Waldo, Arkansas, daughter Margie Kay Williams of Magnolia, Arkansas, and three Grandsons, Luke Fuller of Magnolia, Nicholas Muery of College Station, Texas, and Lars Gunter of Tennessee.
Graveside services for Mr. Beasley will be held Tuesday, January 21, 2014 at 3:00 p.m. in the Shiloh Lamartine Cemetery near Lamartine, Arkansas with Bro. Petie Ward officiating under the direction of A.O. Smith Funeral Home of Stamps, Arkansas. Visitation will be held Monday, January 20, 2014 from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
