Richard Dixon Smith, age 80, of Bradley, Arkansas passed away August 15, 2020 at his residence. He was born May 21, 1940 in Bradley, Arkansas to George Smith and Dixie Glascow. Mr. Smith joined the Plain Dealing No. 237 Mason Lodge on April 9, 1971 and was a member for 49 years and had become a Master Mason. He was raised in the Bradley United Methodist Church but had been attending Plain Dealing Baptist and Bradley Baptist Church. Mr. Smith enjoyed hunting, fishing, and shooting pool.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife of 37 years, Sonya Smith; two brothers, Charles Smith and Leon Wheeler; sister, Patricia Ann Stewart; son in law, Clarence Allan Hinds and grandson, Casey Smith.

Mr. Smith is survived by his son, Dixon Smith and wife, Regina of Bradley, AR; four daughters, Geyna Hinds of Bradley, AR, Natalie Gill and husband, Bobby of Bradley, AR, Shawn Butcher of Springhill, LA and Sonya Sales and husband, Larry Dean Sales of Coushatta, LA; nine grandchildren, Felica, Bobby, April, Shelly, Shannon, Joshua, Jacob, Brandon and Matthew and fourteen great grandchildren.

Cremation services were provided by A.O. Smith Funeral Homes of Stamps. The family will host a Memorial Service at 11 AM, Saturday, August 22, 2020 at Walnut Hill Pavilion.
