Rogers, Roberta Joy, age 73, of Stamps, Arkansas passed away Saturday, June 30, 2018, at her home with her family at her bedside. Funeral Services for Mrs. Rogers will be held Monday, July 2, 2018 at 10 a.m. at the Smith Funeral Home Chapel on Thomas Street. Burial will follow at Sardis Cemetery in Stamps, Arkansas. She was born January 21, 1945 in Stamps, Arkansas to Thomas Woodrow Nicholas and Ruby (Hamilton) Nicholas. She was preceded in death by her parents. Ms. Rogers was a long time member of Stamps Church of Christ. She and her husband were married at Pleasant Grove Church of Christ and had been married 56 years.
She is survived by Doyle Rogers, husband, one daughter, Gloria Kitchens (Tim) of Lewisville, Arkansas, three sons, Lacy Rogers (Connie) of Stamps Arkansas, Jeffrey Rogers (Lisa) of Pittsburg, Texas; Max Rogers (Michelle) of Stamps, Arkansas. She is also survived by two sisters, Carolyn Simmons of Stamps, Arkansas and Glenda Beth Booth of Tyler, Texas. Also, left to cherish her memory are nine grandchildren and six great grandchildren, Jeremy Kitchens (Tracy), Anthony Rogers (Morgan), Katy Hays (Ryan), Shelly Cason (Josh), Carissa Gooch (Zac), Emily Rogers, Lyndsie Rogers (Zane), Reagan Rogers, Maylee Rogers; Gage Kitchens; Kinley Hayes; Everly Rogers; Marlee Rogers; Mason Rogers and McKane Rogers.
Funeral services for Mrs. Rogers will be held Monday, July 2, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at Smith Funeral Home Chapel on Thomas Street. Officiating will be Brother Mickey May. Active pall bearers will be Adam Rogers, Jerry Don Rogers, Anthony Rogers, Mickey Rogers, Jeremy Kitchens and Edwin Ray Rogers. A time of visitation will be Sunday, July 1, 2108 at Smith Funeral Home from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Donations maybe made in her memory to Paragould Children's Home in Paragould, Arkansas.
