Obituary

Rufus Young, 63, of Muskegon, Michigan passed away October 23, 2021 at his residence.  Rufus was born on May 5, 1958 in Hope, Arkansas to Clarence Stuart and the late Ulysses Young both of Hope, AR. Rufus graduated from Hope High School in 1977 and after graduation enrolled in the Hot Springs Job Corps to pursue a career in truck driving. After his time in the Job Corp, Rufus had a desire to join the National Guard, completed his testing and was eligible to enlist, however he chose to help his mother and family move from Hope, Arkansas to Muskegon, Michigan in 1991. He enjoyed fishing, taking pictures, working on cars, tinkering with his lawn mower, and snow blower. On any given day you could drive by his house and find him out back working on something, whether it was a car needing "fixing" (because he was always fixing on something) He took pride in always keeping his yard looking nice.

He was preceded in death by his mother Ulysses Mae Young and Stepfather Rufus Young Sr.; his sister's Valencer (Boo Boo) Rena Young, Easter Jean Young.
