Sherry Lee Phillips,69, of Stamps, Arkansas passed from this life on Tuesday, October 25, 2022, at her home. She was born on July 21, 1953 to R.E. "bud" Stevens and Ovie Lugene (Pevey) Stevens in Aberdeen, Mississippi. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Stamps. Sherry enjoyed many things in life, being with her family, camping, cooking, and shopping. She was what you would call a workaholic as well because she loved working. But one of the enjoyments Sherry looked forward to every year for 30 years would be her yearly trip to Panama City Beach, the first week in June of each year. Of those memorable trips, most would think it would be reaching the beach that was looked forward to, but for Sherry, it would be stopping at every Wal-Mart on the way.

Sherry was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Phillips and her parents, R.E. "Bud" and Ovie Stevens.

She is survived by her daughter, Neeley Phillips Cox (Russell), of Stamps, Arkansas; Two sons, Joe Wesley Phillips II of Springhill, Arkansas and Clint Wesley Phillips of Magnolia, Arkansas; One sister, Cora Ann Stevens Fitzgerald of Stamps, Arkansas; Seven grandchildren; One great grandchild; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 27, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Stamps with Bro. Mike Turner officiating under the direction of A.O. Smith Funeral Home of Stamps, Arkansas. Interment to follow at Oak Grove Cemetery, Stamps, Arkansas. Visitation will be Wednesday, October 26, 2022, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at A.O. Smith Funeral Chapel in Stamps, Arkansas.
