Mrs. Shirley Ann Witt---Gill was born on December 5, 1948 in Waldo, Arkansas to the late Frank and Viola Witt. Mrs. Gill departed this life on June 21, 2015 at the Palestine Regional Medical Center in Palestine, Texas.
She is proceeded in death by both of her parents, one brother, Frencher Witt, one sister, Leola Witt, and one grandson, Tyrell Sanders. Mrs. Gill joined New Bethel A.M.E Church at an early age.
She graduated from Westside High School in 1967. She was united in Holy Matrimony to James Gill on April 1, 1967. She was employed by the Waldo School district for 10 years.
Mrs. Gill served as a devoted mother, grandmother, and caretaker for her family. She leaves to cherish her memories: her husband James Gill; (3) Children, Sebrena Gill, Antonio(Brittany) Gill both of Magnolia, Arkansas, and Lacie (David) Gill---Moore of Palestine, Texas; (1)Brother, Frankie (Lavern) Witt of Cleveland, Ohio; (1) Sister, Christine Moss of Cleveland, Ohio; (4) Grandchildren, Dontavious Robinson, Royanna Robinson, Ja'Marian Gill, and Da'Keylan Moore; (7) Special nieces, Sherdia Moss, Cynthia Moss, Edna Rowden, Vivian Drake, PauletteWitt, Donna Witt, and Bridgette Bello; (5) Special nephews, Erivn Kelso Moss, Frankie Lee Witt, James Moss, Lee Brown, Robert Witt,and Theron Witt; (3) Special cousins, Annie Bell Smith, Verse Chambers, and Daisy Mae Hills;(1) Special sister---in---law, Rebecca Laudermilk;(4)Special Friends, Jenifer Dismuke, Lelia Smith, Gurtha Young, and Jenny Martin, and many relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 30th, at 1 pm at the New Bethel A.M.E. church in Waldo, AR with the burial following at Cedar Grove Cemetery. Under the direction of Smith Funeral Home in Stamps. Officiating will be Rev. Floyd Rowden
