Sonya Ann Willis Monk, age 75 of Stamps, Arkansas, passed away Friday, August 19, 2016 at her home. Mrs. Monk was born September 6, 1940 in Stamps to James Sterling and Mildred Nix Willis.

Mrs. Monk was preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by her husband, D.L. Monk of Stamps, AR; sons, Jim Monk of Houston, TX and Joe Monk and wife, Jami of Linden, TX; daughters, Robin Garrett and husband, Jack of Arkadelphia, AR; Sheila Dickson and husband, Terry of Stamps, AR; Lynn Kimbell and husband, Zolly of Buckner, AR; and Christina Smith and husband, James of Hope, AR; niece, Stephanie Knight and husband, Scott of Houston, TX; nephew, Stephen Willis and wife, Indya of Camden, AR; brother, William Willis and wife, Della of Camden, AR; grandchildren, Jeremy Monk, Shana Pipkin, David Russell, Brad Russell, Keith Dickson, Katie DuPuy, Liz Kimbell, Trey Kimbell, Jennifer Ross, Stanley Kimbell; seven great grandchildren; and numerous extended family and friends.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00pm Sunday, August 21, 2016 at the Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Stamps, AR with her brother, Pastor William Willis officiating, assisted by Bro. Roy Johnson. Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00pm Saturday, August 20, 2016 at Smith Funeral Home in Stamps. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to CCAPS in Magnolia, AR.
