Sue Spence Bird, 88 of Bradley, Arkansas passed away Sunday, October 29, 2023, at Summit Health and Rehab in Taylor, Arkansas. She was born November 26, 1934, in Lewisville, Arkansas to William and Lillie Mae Spence. She was retired inspector for Amfuel in Magnolia, Arkansas. Sue enjoyed sewing and gardening, but of all she loved being with her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Odell Bird, her parents William Mark Spence and Lillie Mae Thomas Spence. One daughter Kathy Bird Benson. One brother, William Merle Spence and two sisters, Lavanda Virgina Bryd and Lavenia Maus.

She is survived by three sons, Gary Bird of Ida, Louisiana, Glen Bird of Walnut Hill, Arkansas and Greg Bird of Marshall, Texas. Two sisters Sally Beans of Portland, Oregon and Marcy Petty and husband Robert of Odesa, Texas. 8 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, 12 great-great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, friends and family.

Graveside services will be 2P.M. Thursday, November 2, 2023, at the Walnut Hill cemetery in Bradley, Arkansas, with Corey Bird officiation under direction of A.O. Smith Funeral Home Inc.

Visitation will be Wednesday, November 1, 2023, from 5P.M. until 7P.M. at the Bradley Methodist Church in Bradley, Arkansas.
