Syble Vickers Millican Hodnett, 92 of Stamps, Arkansas passed away Tuesday, April 4, 2023 at her home in Stamps, Arkansas. Syble was born April 6 ^th , 1930 in Buckner, Arkansas to Ruby and K.V. Vickers. After graduating from Buckner High School in 1949, Syble worked for seven years at Arkansas Power and Light as a cashier, and she worked for twenty-three years as a dispatcher for Alan White & Company.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her fiancé Bobby Stevens, her second husband T.V. "Preacher" Hodnett, and first husband Cecil Ray Millican; her siblings Riley Vickers, Mae Powell, Lorene Massey, Maxine Coleman, Martha Burton, and Billy Vickers.

Syble is survived by her daughter Jan Millican Neal, granddaughter Amanda Neal and her father Tom Neal, of Plano, Texas. One step daughter, Diane Widmer also of Plano, Texas. Two sisters, JoAnn Bradley of Magnolia, Arkansas and Mary Smallwood of Hot Springs, Arkansas. Also numerous nieces and nephews, as well as many other dear friends and family. Special friends who allowed her to have independence in the last few years of her life include Charles Goodwin, and Terry and Sheila Dickson, for which her family is forever grateful.

Pallbearers will include, Charlie Goodwin, Copie Dickson, Terry Dickson, Mike Burton, Todd Vickers, Kirk Cagle, John David Bailey and Steve Bailey.

Funeral Services will be held 2P.M. Friday. April 7, 2023 at the Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Stamps, with Kirk Cagle officiating under the direction of A.O. Smith Funeral Homes. Interment will follow at Lakeside Cemetery in Stamps.

Visitation will be held from 6P.M. until 8P.M. Thursday, April 6, 2023 at Smith Funeral Home in Stamps.
