Thomas Preston Brackman, 99, of Bradley, Arkansas, passed away on Saturday, March 30, 2024, at his residence. Thomas was born on September 14, 1924, at his family's home in the Red River Bottoms. He was a proud World War II veteran of the United States Navy. Thomas was a faithful member of the Bradley Baptist Church and the Men's Sunday School Class. Thomas served as a devoted deacon of the church. He was a farmer, cattleman, and mechanic who could fix anything. And for 25 years, operated the Farmer's Cotton Gin in Gin City.
Preceded in death by his beloved wife Marian Earl Adcock Brackman; mother, Ruby Mae Givens Brackman; father, George Preston Brackman; brother, Bynum Brackman; sisters, Pyreen Cater and Mary Sue Parks; granddaughter, Sharon Alane Brackman; and very special brothers-in-law, Otis Hardin and Tommy Head.
Thomas is survived by his sons, Jimmy Brackman and wife, Lisa of Bradley, Arkansas, Tommy Brackman and wife Carla of Maude, Texas and Glenn Brackman and wife Sara of Atlanta, Texas; daughter, Brenda Wayne and husband Donald of Hamburg, Texas; and a very special sister-in-law Jeanette Head of Shreveport, Louisiana; grandchildren, Bradie, Charlie, Haley, Cade, Breanna, Jacqueline, Dylan, Cathy, Glenn Jr., Jason and Devon; and twenty two great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be the grandsons, Charlie Brackman, Bradie Brackman, Cade Brackman, Dylan Brackman, Jason Wayne, and John Bird. Honorary pallbearers are Travis S Gore, Bubba McClellan, Larry Martin and Andy Goodwin.
Visitation will be held on Monday, April 1, 2024, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Bradley Baptist Church.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, April 2, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at Bradley Baptist Church, with Bro. Eddie Wise officiating, assisted by Bro. George Goins, interment to follow at Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery 23465 St Hwy 237, Dodridge, Arkansas. Services are under the direction of A O Smith Funeral Home, Stamps, Arkansas.
