Thomas Hal Henderson, Jr passed away on March 15, 2024, to go to his heavenly home. Tom was born on June 21, 1960, to Thomas Henderson, Sr and Myrtle Henderson in Okinawa, Japan, where his father was stationed in the United States Air Force. Tom spent his childhood, growing up with his three sisters, in various places that the military would take them. He did well in school and while he did have a bit of a temper, once you really got to know him, you realized he was just a big teddy bear. In 1979, Tom enlisted in the United States Army and was stationed in Germany. In 1983 after being discharged from the military, he moved to Texas. Tom began doing truck driving, traveling out of state, hauling big loads all over the United States, and even into parts of Canada.

Tom was always a great friend to have, someone you can lean on in hard times, someone to make you laugh, or someone to just sit up with and have him tell you a million and one stories of his trucking days. He was a teddy bear, through it all. A contagious chuckle and one of the biggest hugs you could ever get. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Tom is preceded in death by his loving parents, Thomas Henderson, Sr and Myrtle Henderson; his beloved sister, Debra Pruitt; his stepdaughter, Kimberly Poole of MS. and his grandson Trevor Poole

Tom is survived by his son, Jason Henderson of MS; sisters, Catherine Edwards and Dawn Henderson of LA; step sons, Dwayne Poole of MS, and David Poole Jr. of NC; grandchildren, Heather (Aaron) Conerly of MS, Tyler Poole of NC, Jonathan (Kyleigh) Poole of MS, Devyn Bradley of MS, Kimberly (Travis) Wembley of NC, and Marilyn Henderson of MS; four great grandchildren, Jayden, Kataleiya, August and Knox; and his Aunt Pearl Bolding of TX.

Cremation services provided by A O Smith Funeral Home, Stamps, Arkansas.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
