Thomas E "Mickey" May, 78, of Buckner, Arkansas, passed away on Tuesday, June 25, 2024. Mickey, as he was affectionately called, was born to Owen and Ruby May on July 28, 1945, in Buckner, Arkansas. He was a farmer and lovingly served southwest Arkansas as a gospel preacher for over 35 years until retiring. Mickey was a member of the Church of Christ in Lewisville. He loved to build. he especially built up the faith of many young men, investing in them to the glory of God and His Kingdom.

Preceded in death by his parents, Owen and Ruby May; two sisters, Joyce Yeager and Alice Keiser; brother, James Baker; son, Steven Wayne May; and grandson, Brandon J "Bear" Bailey.

Survived by his wife of 57 years, JoElla May; son, Cris (Laurie) May of Buckner, AR; daughter, Jody (BJ) Bailey, of Buckner, AR; daughter-in-law, Gayla May of Waldo, AR; sister Peggy (Charles) Alexander, of Doddridge, AR; grandchildren, Aaron and Lucas May of Waldo, AR and Allie, Ben, Emma and Owen may of Buckner, AR; and his beloved dog, Queenie.

Those honoring Mickey as pallbearers will be Jason Alexander, Bill Jackson, Dickie Morton, Tim Kitchens, Jeremy Kitchens and Randy Phillips.

A visitation will be held on Friday, June 28, 2024, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at A O Smith Funeral Home, Stamps, Arkansas.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 29, 2024, at 9:00 am, at A O Smith Funeral Home, Stamps, Arkansas with Bro. David Formby and Bro. Jamie Knighton officiating, Interment to follow at Falcon Cemetery, Falcon, Arkansas with Bro. Cris May officiating.
