Ms. Velma Lee Cooper McPherson, 85 of Hope, AR passed away Monday, July 29, 2019 at Hospice of Texarkana, TX.

She was born in Lumber, AR on August 14, 1933 to Tid  Cooper and Tinnie Flowers Cooper which preceded her in death.

She was a loving mother, grandmother and aunt.

Ms. Velma is survived by: three sons, Jimmie (Debroah) Cooper of Houston, TX, Vincent (Gladys) Cooper of Oklahoma City, OK, Fredrick (Kisha) McPherson of Hope, AR; one daughter,  Lenail (John) Vickers of Hope, AR and a host of grandchildren, great  grandchildren, nieces, nephew and other relatives and friends.  A special cousin Betty Watson of Hot Springs, AR, two special nieces Betty Jones and Doris Kelcey of Houston, TX .

Funeral Services at Smith Funeral Home Chapel at 11 a.m., Saturday, August 10, 2019 with Rev. Darryl Maxwell officiating.  Burial at Davis Chapel Cemetery in Lumber, AR under the direction of Smith Funeral Home of Stamps.

Visitation: Friday, August 9, 2019 at 11 a.m. - 4 p.m.
