Mrs. Verdia Lee Cheatham Draper, 74, of Mineral Springs, AR passed away January 03rd at Christus St. Michael Health System in Texarkana, TX..

She was born December 10, 1940 to Annise Cheatham and Nona Hendrix in Columbus, AR.

She was preceded in death by her parents and three siblings; James McFall, Ellis Hardwick, and Claudine Edwards.

She was also known as "Granny" & "Madea" to all.

Survivors include: her husband; James Draper of the home, three sons; Perry Draper (LaNette) of Union City, TN., Denzil Draper (Sheba) of Nashville, AR., and James Earl Draper of Mineral Springs, AR. Three daughters; Ms. Linda Draper of Little Rock, AR., Mrs. Shirlean Hicks of Mineral Springs, AR., and Mrs. Carolyn Ogden (Charles) of Mineral Springs, AR. Twenty grandchildren and twenty-three great-grandchildren. A host of Nephews, nieces, close relatives, and friends.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, January 11th, at 2:00 p.m. at Macedonia Baptist Church in Columbus, AR with burial following in the church Cemetery. Under the direction of Smith Funeral Home in Stamps. Officiating will be Rev. Harold Massey

Visitation will be Friday 3-5:pm at the funeral home.
