Mr. Verdise Young, Sr., 91 of Lewisville, AR passed away Thursday, May 17, 2018 at Arkansas Nursing Rehab Center in Texarkana, AR.

He was born on November 3, 1926 to the late Ben and Leolia Ford Young in Lewisville, AR.

Mr. Verdise is survived by two sons: Verdise Young, Jr. of Lewisville, AR, Zachary "Jack"  Young of Hope, AR; two daughters: Geneva (Bennie) Richardson, Louise Young of Texarkana, AR, three sisters: Minnie Young of Vacaville, CA, Bobbie Florence of Lufkin, TX, Dorothy Young of Prescott, AR, four brothers: Verbin Young of Richmond, CA, Jerry D. Young of Monroe, MI, Joseph Young of Texarkana, AR, Levester Young of Lewisville, AR and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren and other relatives and friends.

Funeral Services at Union Hill Baptist Church in Lewisville, AR at 11 a.m., Saturday, May 26, 2018, with Rev. Julius Cox officiating.  Burial at Union Hill Cemetery under the direction of Smith Funeral Home of Stamps - 415 East First Street.

Visitation: Friday, May 25, 2018, from 11 - 4 p.m. at the funeral home.
