Vicky Elaine Wootton Nix was born January 27, 1955 in Lewisville, Ar to Raymond and Joyce Wootton. She was of Baptist faith and a member of Shiloh Baptist Church.  She departed this life January 29, 2021 at St. Michaels Hospital in Texarkana, Tx.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a granddaughter Reagan Michelle Simmons Hancock and a great-granddaughter, Braxlynn Sage Hancock.   Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Brandon Simmons and wife Kristin of Taylor, Arkansas, granddaughter Emily Simmons of Conway, Arkansas, grandson Sawyer Simmons of Taylor, Arkansas, great-granddaughter Kynlee Hancock of New Boston, Texas, grandson, Homer Hancock of New Boston, Texas, granddaughter, Kyndyl Wilkerson of Taylor, Arkansas, and sister Beth McDowell and husband George of Buckner, Arkansas and a special friend Audrea Beamon.

Vicky was a hard worker from an early age.  She began work at age 16 at Jimmy's Drive In and continued for over 30 years. Her work ethic was such that Jimmy made her a partner in the 1980's.  She loved working at the Drive In and could be found on most Friday nights at the grill.  She knew exactly how everyone liked their burger.  Vicky mentored many teenagers in the backdoor of Jimmy's.   She was well known for her delicious meals, especially her strawberry cake.  When not running the drive in, Vicky enjoyed working in her yard and gardening.  She was the family expert on flowers and shrubs.  After a lifetime of hard work, Vicky found contentment in her retirement years.

If you visited with Vicky for any time at all, she would tell you about her family, Brandon, Kristin, Reagan, Emily, Sawyer, Kynlee and baby Braxlynn. She loved them dearly.  Vicky was a strong woman and loved with her whole heart.  She was a good friend who would do anything she could to help her neighbor.

Today Vicky is celebrating in Heaven with her parents and Reagan and baby Braxlynn.  As much as we miss her, we find comfort in knowing that she is having a glad reunion day.
