Mr. W. L. Whitfield 87, of Stamps, Arkansas passed away Sunday, January 26, 2020 at Wadley Regional Medical Center.  He was born in Rayville, Louisiana to the late G. L. Whitfield and Lilian Gant Whitfield.

He was a loving dad, grandfather, uncle and a friend to many.

He is survived by:one daughter Mamie (Junior) Revere of Pensacola, Florida; two grand children Michael Boyd of Memphis, Tennessee, Chris Boyd of Texarkana, Arkansas; three great grandchildren, great great grandchildren and other relatives  and friends.

Funeral service at Greenville Baptist Church in Stamps, Arkansas, at February 8, 2020, Saturday, with Dr. Neich Robinson officiating.  Burial at Lakeside Cemetery under the direction of Smith Funeral Home of Stamps.  Visitation : Friday, February 7, 2020 at Smith Funeral Home Chapel from 11 until 4.
