Ms. Wanda was a faithful Christian who worshiped at the Lewisville Church of Christ. She truly exemplified the woman in Proverbs 31. She rose early and tended to her household, worked on the farm and opened her home to many; she was known for her hospitality. Her children and grandchildren rise up and call her, "Blessed".
She loved her flowers, especially roses and her love of bright colors and a little bling is reflected in her quilting. She loved to cook, make jelly and can her fresh produce. Most of all she loved people and had fun no matter the task at hand. She had an infectious laugh and smile even when dealing with ill health and she never complained.
Ms. Wanda had close relationships with her many nieces and nephews, but she and her niece, Larinda Lee, had a very special bond. Her close and special friends are Margie Chastain, Betty Patten and Betty Moses.
Ms. Willie Mae Pree was her long-time friend and became her caretaker; our family is blessed to have her in our lives. She took care of our mother with laughter and loving hands and she has been the glue that has kept us all together. We are thankful that God provided Ms. Willie Mae to us.
We want to thank Lafayette County Ambulance Service for all of their excellent care in our many emergencies. Also, we would like to thank Hospice of Texarkana. Although many nurses and aides have come to the home, we want to especially thank Emma, Kim and Antoinette for the loving care you provided for our mother.
