Wanda Lee Short, 83, of Lewisville, Arkansas passed away on October 31, 2021 in Magnolia, Arkansas. She was born on December 10, 1937 in Buckner, Arkansas to Lee Barbaree and Ellen Lawrence Smith. Mrs. Short and her sisters were raised by their beloved grandparents, John and Ellie Lawrence. She worked at various flower shops for many years, where she enjoyed arranging flowers and would still tie bows for anyone that asked. Wanda was a great cook and loved to talk to her family and friends. Mrs. Short was a lifelong member of First Baptist Church of Lewisville.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, T.C. Short, Jr.; parents; sister, Mary Buchanan and deceased husband, Wayne and son in law, Stephen Puleo.

Wanda is survived by two sons, Toomie Short and wife, Mary Margaret of Stephens, AR and Tommy Short and wife, Cindy of Stamps, AR; two daughters, Janet Lee Short of Lewisville, AR and Linda Puleo of Williamsburg, VA; sister, Dot Wheelington and husband, G.W. of Pine Bluff, AR; a host of grands, great grands, nieces, nephews and other relatives and beloved friends.

Graveside services will be held on Friday, November 5, 2021 at 10:00 A.M. at Wilson Cemetery with Dr. Eric Goble officiating under the direction of Smith Funeral Home.

The family wants to express sincere love and appreciation to all her caregivers that actually loved her and went above and beyond to help her.
