Weldon Lowell Coffee, 80, of Springhill, LA, passed away on the morning of July 20, 2026, at his home. Chief, as he was affectionally called, was born on December 12, 1945, in Lawton, OK to Ben and Ada Faye Coffee. Chief was a member of Word of Life Faith Ministry, and he will be missed by many friends and family.

Preceded in death by his parents, Ben and Ada Faye Coffee; his spouse, Nita Coffee; four brothers and three sisters.

Survived by his sons, Jerry Ted (DeeDee) Bright of Detroit, TX and Phillip (Shannon) Bates of Durham, NC; daughter, Karen Anita Stephens of Springhill, LA; three grandchildren, Ethan Carter Bright, Garen Hignight, Cortney Lynn Modisette; nineteen great grandchildren; special friends, Ashley Whittington, Mark Farrington, Shirley Gidding and Gayle Bailey; and his special little fur baby, Barney.

A Memorial Service will be scheduled at a later date.
