Wendy
Rogers
Jun 25, 1967 — May 30, 2022
Taylor
Wendy Smith Rogers, 54, of Bradley, Arkansas, passed away unexpectedly at her home May 30,2022.
Wendy is preceded in death by her parents, Doyle Wayne and Peggy Angela Smith and four siblings; Timothy Wayne, Melissa Kay, Sara Jo, and Doyle "Bubba" Smith, Jr. Left to cherish her memory are her children Johnathan Cole and his wife Sam McCalman and their daughter Alyza, daughters Brittany Rogers and Madison Weems, and son, Joseph Rogers. Along with her children, Wendy also leaves behind siblings Lisa and husband Jonny Jackson, Matthew and wife Tracy Smith, Cyndi and husband, Wayne Alford, and Angela Gill. Included, but not listed, are much loved nieces, nephews, and close friends.
Wendy was born on June 25, 1967 in De Queen, Arkansas and remained a resident of the state most of her life. Everyone who knew her knew that she had a generous, loving heart, a witty sense of humor and a strong faith in God. She was one of the storytellers of our family and many laughs were had over her family narratives. She never met a stranger and would give anyone the shirt off her back. She loved her family dearly. To know her was to know a true survivor; despite all she endured, she stayed positive and never gave up.
Wendy fought many years to overcome her addiction to alcohol and as her family, we also fought equally as hard to help her. We each held a steadfast hope for Wendy's recovery and to see that hope cut short has been devastating to all who watched her struggle. Although the pain of her death is heartbreaking, family and friends can find solace in knowing she is finally at peace.
