William "Billy" Bray, age 87, of Lewisville, Arkansas, passed away Monday, March 3, 2014, at his home. Mr. Bray was born July 14, 1926, in Lewisville, Arkansas, to William Francis and Lillie Armor Bray. He was a retired rural letter carrier and a 32nd degree Mason of Lewisville Lodge #14. Mr. Bray was a WWII Veteran and served on the USS Decker DE-47 and the USS Burdo APD-133 in the European Theater.
Mr. Bray was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Betty S. Bray; brother, Charles Bray; and sister, Martha Jane Buck.
He is survived by his son, Rick Bray of Destin, FL; two daughters, Debby Davies and husband, Richard of White Hall, AR, and Tracy Harbin of Lewisville, AR; seven grandchildren, Bill Davies and wife, Megan and Jim Davies and wife, Amber of White Hall, AR; Holly Lichlyter of Hooks, TX; Lindsey Bray and Shirley Bray of Destin, FL; Bradley Harbin of Marietta, GA and Skylar Harbin of Lewisville, AR; eight great grandchildren, Will Davies, Paige Davies, Kinley Davis, Dosson Davies and Dillon Davies of White Hall, AR; Carter McIlwain and Tristan May of Destin, FL and Jackson Stovall of Hooks, TX; two brothers, Wayne Bray of LaMarque, TX and James Bray and wife, Josephine of Malvern, AR; and sister, Lillie Alexander and husband, Don of Seven Lakes, NC.
Funeral Services will be held at 4:00 p.m. Thursday, March 6, 2014, at First United Methodist Church in Lewisville, AR with Bro. Ron Eldridge officiating under the direction of Smith Funeral Homes of Stamps, AR. Interment will follow at Wilson Cemetery. Online registration is available at www.aosmithfuneralhome.com.
