William Aubrey Higgins, Sr., age 93, went to be with the Lord early morning on Wednesday, November 2, 2016. He was a resident of Springhill, Louisiana for eight years and a Taylor resident for fifty-two years. Mr. Higgins was a longtime member of Masonic Lodge #70 and pipe fitters and welder's local #141. He was also a member of Forest Grove Missionary Baptist Church.

Mr. Higgins was preceded in death by his parents, Marcus and Artie Higgins; four sisters; two brothers; and his wife, Corinne Higgins.

He is survived by his wife of eight years, Shelvia Jean Higgins; two daughters, Sue Meeler of Stamps, AR and Cynthia Rogers and husband, Sam of Walker Creek, AR; two sons, William Aubrey Higgins, Jr. of Taylor, AR and Marcus "Hoppy" Higgins and wife, Kay also of Taylor; step-son, Ricky R. Golden of Springhill, LA; step-daughter, Gina K. Hanson of Shongaloo, LA; sister, Mary Lou Clark of Lewisville, AR; a host of grandchildren; and a several other family and friends.

Funeral Services will be held at 2pm Friday, November 4, 2016 at Forest Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Taylor, AR with Bro. Joseph Stacks and Bro. Chet Johnston officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Grove Cemetery in Taylor under the direction of Smith Funeral Homes of Stamps, AR.
