William David Nicholas, 81, of Stamps, Arkansas passed away Saturday, February 3, 2024, in Magnolia, AR.  He was born May 13, 1942, in Stamps, AR to E.H. and Betty Murleen (Miller) Nicholas. He preached at several area Church of Christ Churches, over a 50-year period.  He also logged for many years and operated a bulldozer and dirt work business. He was a past President of Alameda Christian School and enjoyed hunting and fishing in his younger years.  His two favorite things were his family and working. He was also an avid griller and outdoor cook.

Mr. Nicholas was preceded in death by his parents; wife, June Marie (Bjelland) Nicholas; and two brothers, Nathan Nicholas and Reuben Nicholas

He is survived by a daughter, Tonia Wood and husband Tim of Stamps, AR; two sons, Darold David Nicholas, and Donald Ray Nicholas both of Stamps, AR.  He is also survived by a sister, Judy Sue Clark of Stamps, AR; two grandchildren, Jacob Wood, and Hunter Wood; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Graveside Services will be Tuesday, February 6, 2024, at 2:00pm at Sardis Cemetery, with Mr. Jamie Knighton officiating, under the direction of A.O. Smith Funeral Home of Stamps, AR. Visitation will be on Monday, February 5, 2024, from 6:00pm until 8:00pm at the A.O. Smith Funeral Home in Stamps, AR.
