William Damon Smith, age 53 of Springhill, Louisiana, passed away Saturday, April 21, 2018. Damon was born May 8, 1964 in Shreveport, Louisiana. He enjoyed playing music at church with the Open Door Fellowship Praise Team and volunteered at Wild Goose Outreach Ministry.

Mr. Smith was preceded in death by his aunt, Frances Gore and husband, Earnest "Buggy" Gore; and uncle, Grover Buckner.

He is survived by his mother, Winnie Smith of Springhill, LA; two daughters, Shea Elana Johnson and husband, Jared and Kelli Elizabeth Smith all of Springhill, LA and their mother, Robin; uncle, Gene C. Smith and wife, Linda of Russellville, AR; aunt, Betty Rose Buckner also of Springhill; one grandchild, Ryder Shelton Johnson; and a host of cousins.

A Graveside Service will be held at 2pm Friday, April 27, 2018 at Walnut Hill Cemetery in Bradley, AR with Bro. Tim Everett and Bro. Mike Buckner officiating and assisted by Mr. Mitch Stubberfield under the direction of Smith Funeral Homes of Stamps, AR, Thomas Street location. A visitation will be held from 10am-noon on Friday, April 27th at Open Door Fellowship in Springhill, LA.

Honoring Mr. Smith as his pallbearers will be Dallas Bennett, Chris Bennett, Lee Sain, Timmy Buckner, Scott Gore, Alex Edwards, and honorary pallbearer Mike Buckner.
