Willie Cecil Nolte, age 86 of Taylor, Arkansas, passed away Sunday, January 24, 2016. Mr. Nolte was born August 27, 1929 in Walker Creek, Arkansas to Willie Winfred and Ada Mae Nolte. He was a member of Forest Grove Missionary Baptist Church where he was the song leader for many years. Mr. Nolte enjoyed watching his grandchildren play baseball and softball and dearly loved gospel music. He enjoyed fishing with Bobby and making his rounds with Mr. Ray and Steve the Yankee. At the end, he was most proud that he led Mr. Ray to the Lord and that they were able to go Home together.
Mr. Nolte was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Jewel Nolte; and two sisters, Helen Shivley and Bernice Wise.
He is survived by one daughter, Vickie Spruell and husband, Tim of Bradley, AR; three sons, Don Nolte and wife, Judy of Middletown, DE; Eddie Robinson and wife, Lori of Stamps, AR; and Alan Nolte and wife, Leslie of Taylor, AR; twelve grandchildren, Justin Nolte, Brandon Nolte, Kelby Robinson, Nick Spruell, Brady Robinson, Ashlyn Spruell, Dusty Robinson, Allie Spruell, Emilee Nolte, Lexi Nolte, Anistyn Nolte, and Tagg Nolte; seven great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 29, 2016 at Forest Grove Missionary Baptist Church with Bro. Joseph Stacks and Bro. Chet Johnson officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Grove Cemetery under the direction of Smith Funeral Homes of Stamps, AR.
