OBITUARY

Funeral service for Willie Mae Rose will be at 1p.m. Saturday, Sept. 5, 2015 at Union Hill Baptist Church in Lewisville, AR, with Rev. Ellis Ford officiating. Burial will follow at Galilee Cemetery under the direction of Smith Funeral Home, Inc.

Willie Mae Rose was born in Lewisville, AR on April 1, 1912 to the union of the late Johnny and Emma Shepherd Ford. She confessed Christ at an early age at Union Hill Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor J. H. Wyatt. At the age of 20, she met and married the late Burton Rose on December 26, 1932. To this union of 57 years 6 children were born.

She served on the usher board, mission board and Benevolence Treasurer at the Union Hill Baptist Church for many years.

Willie Mae Rose departed this life on Thursday morning, August 27, 2015 at Homestead Manor. Four children Robert L. Rose, Willie R. Johnson, Oliver J. Rose, Arthur L. Rose, grandchildren, Kenneth Jointer, Deondra Rose, and Caroyln Ligans preceded her in death.

She leaves to mourn her passing and cherish her loving memory; two children Alice Marie Jointer (Jessie) of Lewisville, AR; Murlee Ligans (George) of Santa Monica, CA., Daughter- in -law Lena Rose of Stamps, AR. Two sisters Flora Evans and Alice Hillard of Richmond, CA.
Also 13 grandchildren , 21 great grand children, 11 great great grand children and a special niece Emma Young of Richmond, CA. VISITATION
