About Us

Our History

In 1934, A.O. and Ruth Smith moved to Lafayette County, where he started A.O. Smith Funeral Home and later the Smith Burial Association. They both instilled a work ethic and high standard that continues to this day. We are proudly family-owned and operated by their three daughters: Virginia Stevens, Corrine Wheelington, and Martha Ford.
